Horacy Muszyński is a visual artist from Poland, based in Warsaw. He completed his master’s studies at the Academy of Art in Szczecin and the prestigious De Ateliers program in Amsterdam. His primary medium was activities at the intersection of cinema and art, incorporating elements of performance and mass culture (B-class horror movies) into his films. In his curren practice, Horacy has expanded single-channel video into installation formats, exploring various possibilities and methods of storytelling. A significant aspect of his works is collaboration with professionals from different fields to jointly create complex and multi-threaded narratives. Utilizing absurdity and humor, he offers a critical perspective on pressing social issues like the ongoing climate crisis and ecological greenwashing, political propaganda, exploitation of imigrant seasonal workers.
